IG LIVE FUNDRAISING PARTY FOR THE
WHO COVID-19 RESPONSE FUND
On Saturday 21st March 2020 we held our 1st ever Instagram Live Romper Party and Wow! We were BLOWN away by the support!
We also held a Flash Sale with partial proceeds going to the WHO COVID-19 Response Fund! The S+T Community came out strong and united, surpassing our original fundraising goal of $15,000 CAD and hitting a massive $20,000 CAD!!! We laughed, we danced, we played Truth or Dare, and most importantly we were able to find some happiness together in a difficult time!
Thank you to our girlfriends Ashley Greene, Roxy Earle, Carole Radziwill and Sarah Nicole Landry for bringing their best slumber party vibes and inspiring us all to take good care of ourselves and each other during this time!
YOU DONATED $5, WE MATCHED $5
PROVIDING SCRUB CAPS TO HOSPITAL WORKERS
From March to May 2020, we launched a company-wide effort, bringing together product design, operations, and our suppliers to design and produce, non-surgical scrub caps for frontline healthcare workers fighting COVID-19.
Inspired by Jessica Lu, a member of our #smashtessfam and Respiratory Therapist based in BC, we wanted to give back to the hospital staff that is especially vulnerable amid this pandemic. For every $5 that our customers donated, we matched it and used this money to create and donate scrub caps to our community.
JILLIAN HARRIS X S+T COLLECTION
THE FRONTLINE FUND
Together with Jillian Harris, we donated $15,000 worth of Personal Protective Equipment to The Frontline Fund for those working on the front lines fighting COVID-19.
This donation was made possible by your purchase from the Smash + Tess x Jillian Harris Collection re-release on April 22nd, 2020!
THE TIE DYE COLLECTION FUNDRAISER FOR
THE LOVELAND FOUNDATION AND BLACK WOMEN IN MOTION
In June 2020, we made a commitment to being even more inclusive in our hiring practices, showing even more diversity in our feed and elsewhere, and working harder to have more meaningful partnerships with BIPOC - all while continuing to give back to organizations fighting race-based injustice and violence. This commitment is unwavering.
To kick off this commitment we donated $40,000 from the sales of our summer Tie Dye Collection to The Loveland Foundation and Black Women in Motion.

Our second fundraising campaign during June 2020 donated $2,700 of proceeds from the sales our best-selling Friday Romper in Midnight Black to Black Women Connect - a Vancouver based collective of women who come together to inspire, empower, leverage their strengths and embrace their diverse experiences. A community that builds meaningful relationships, and celebrates the beauty of Black womanhood.
THE SHORT + SWEET COLLECTION FUNDRAISER FOR
BLACK LEGAL ACTION CENTRE
For Summer 2020 we launched a new Short + Sweet collection with $5,400 of the proceeds from sales donated to Black Legal Action Centre - a non-profit community legal clinic that provides free legal services for low or no income Black residents of Ontario. This organization was introduced to us by Dominique Baker, a super supportive member of our #smashtessfam! Dom is pictured here rocking the outfit so well!
2019 #SHESFORREAL CAMPAIGN
BC WOMEN'S FOUNDATION
A big highlight in 2019 was supporting the BC Women’s Hospital Foundation during the #shesforreal campaign where we donated $12,000 from the sales of our limited-edition Rompers went towards research and advocacy to support women’s health!
CELEBRATING 50 YEARS OF SESAME STREET
YELLOW FEATHER FUND
In November 2019, Smash + Tess was honoured to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Sesame Street with a special limited-edition collection of Rompers for the whole family!
As a team of three moms, we not only care deeply about our children, but the welfare and education of children worldwide so we donated 5% of proceeds from sales on launch day to the Yellow Feather Fund.
For us, partnering with Sesame Street was a dream come true! Growing up watching Sesame Street and now sharing it with our own children, reinforces the timelessness of the show, meaningful characters, and significant themes, all developed to create a more thoughtful, compassionate, and more inclusive community.
