Mother’s Day is extra special to the team at S+T – not only are our fearless founders' mothers to some amazing little humans, but our team is largely made up of women, so we’re always excited to celebrate all that they do for the ones they love. When our friends at BC Women’s Health Foundation (BCWHF) shared their research on the unique challenges Covid-19 posed for women, creating a Mother’s Day Collection that celebrated mothering in all its forms, while supporting the work BCWHF does to care for women through these struggles, was an easy choice.

This year, Mother’s Day is particularly difficult for many, as we experience it for a second time during a global pandemic. In addition to being separated from many of our loved ones, there are other unique challenges as a result of Covid-19 – working mothers aged 24-55 lost 26% of their paid work hours due to the pandemic. In BC, 42% of women with children said their mental health has become worse since Covid-19 emerged. And staggeringly, 73% of women in BC report negative health outcomes from increased caring for or concern about elderly family members or those living with disabilitywith increased anxiety being broadly reported.

Mothering takes many forms, and we want to celebrate all of them by honouring the caregivers in our community – especially women – who show up every day, remain strong in tough times, and adapt to support those they love!

Rompers have played a special role in our lives – whether you need the extra comfort of no-waistband
for a tired body, or a one-and-done outfit option to give you one less thing to think about, they really are magic. We created a very special Tuesday Romper in Pop of Pink to celebrate all our #smashtessfam community who mother. To do our part to recognize the unique challenges this last year has placed on women in particular, we’re donating 10% of proceeds from the sales of our new Tuesday Romper + Mini Tuesday Romper in Pop of Pink to BC Womens Health Foundation , to support their work in ensuring women have equitable access to the highest quality healthcare, when, where, and how they need it.

Pop of Pink not quite your vibe? You can still support the incredible work BCWHF does by adding a donation at checkout on any purchase – 100% of your donation will be given to BCWHF.
