Erin has been doing some truly inspiring work and you won’t want to miss the amazing stories she’s sharing on the Raw Beauty Talks Podcast! Now we’re turning the spotlight to Erin:

WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO START YOUR BUSINESS?

Like so many women, I went through a period of time in my teens where I really struggled with body image and an eating disorder. I was admitted into the hospital where I spent three months in a bubble of self discovery; rebuilding my relationship with my body and food.  That experience was incredibly painful in the moment but it opened my eyes to the power and influence media has and it lit a fire within me to make it a better experience for women of all ages.

I wanted to create a place online that would celebrate women exactly as they are - even in the really raw moments of life and would allow us to connect to support one another.  It was from this place that our Raw interview series was born.

Two years and hundreds of conversations later, I was hearing the same things over and over from the women I was speaking to.  Feelings of loneliness, low self esteem and not being “enough’ were the norm not the exception and it broke my heart. I decided to get my health coaching certification and apply what I’d learned through my own experience and that of other women living from a place of self love to provide tools to help connect women to their personal power.

WHAT'S THE BEST PIECE OF ADVICE THAT HAS SHAPED YOUR JOURNEY?

You are everything you want to be right now.  You are beautiful, powerful, worthy, trusting and good. You are more than enough. When we lose touch with our greatness we start living from a place of fear, lack and scarcity.  The practices of gratitude, self compassion and connection are great ways to come back to a place of love, abundance and inner peace. When we live from this space we vibrate at a frequency that attracts more of the stuff we really want into our life.

ONE TIP FOR BUILDING YOUR OWN BRAND AND BUSINESS?

Focus on the things that matter.  My husband says this to me all the time and it’s true.  Care about the people, build on your strengths, do the work and don’t get caught up on Instagram likes and glossy distractions.

WHAT DOES YOUR ULTIMATE SUNDAY CONSIST OF?

Sundays are reserved for family and the simple things. Pancake breakfast at home with my kids, getting outside and into nature for some exercise, a stop at a market for some fresh flowers and local veggies and then slowly puttering around the house with a tea getting ready for the week ahead.

CURRENT NETFLIX BINGE?

I can honestly say I don’t have Netflix! I watch Kardashians and the odd documentary (Free Solo was the last one I watched) and other than that I’m not big on TV.  By the time I get the kids to bed, send off a few more emails, take a minute to say “heyyyy” to my husband and do my 30-minute meditation I’m ready to start my bedtime routine and maybe get in a chapter of my book (which is usually more like one page and then I’m out cold).

WHO INSPIRES YOU?

So many people but day to day I’d have to say it’s my girlfriends and the incredible women I have in my life.  I’m so lucky to be surrounded by these inspiring, entrepreneurial forces who are just really really good humans.  You ladies know who you are and I love you.

DESERT ISLAND BEAUTY PRODUCT?

My Rose Quartz Gua Sha tool from K’Pure.

FAVE PLACE TO ROCK YOUR ROMPER?

I love to wear my Friday Romper when lounging on my couch watching an episode of Kardashians with a big glass of red wine. #GuiltyPleasure

WHICH GUILTY PLEASURE INSTAGRAM ACCOUNTS ARE YOUR FAVE INSTA-FOLLOWS?

I really truly only follow accounts that fill me up and make me feel better about myself and this world.  Sooooo you can go to @rawbeautytalks to see who I’d put on this list!

WHOSE POSTER DID YOU HAVE ON YOUR BEDROOM WALL WHEN YOU WERE 12 YEARS OLD?

Oh that was definitely my Leonardo Dicaprio + Kate Winslet ‘Titanic’ poster.  I saw that movie four times in the theatre and was madly in love with Leo. I saw him in Mexico at a bar in my late 20’s, basically blacked out, peeled off my jacket and threw it at my now husband and got up on a table to start dancing so he would notice me.  I mean obviously Leo would go for the drunk girl dancing on the table, right?! I actually can’t believe my husband, Scott didn’t break up with me after that! lol It was 100% my 12-year old self that got up on that table. Part of me is like, “You go girl!”

Now you can see why we adore Erin. She is one of those people who are raising women up, enriching our lives and yet, she can dance on a table! lol Subscribe to the Raw Beauty Talks Podcast to connect to the stories of other inspiring women.
